Bangkok's Magical Unicorn Cafe

Step into a pastel paradise at the Unicorn Cafe in Bangkok - a rainbow explosion of unicorns, sweet treats, and nostalgic fun for every once-My Little Pony-loving-grown up.

Last week I finally ticked off a very special place from my travel bucket list - and it’s one that truly brought out my inner child in the best way possible. Nestled in the heart of Silom, Bangkok, this pastel dreamland is bursting with imagination, rainbows, and a whole lot of magic. Welcome to the Unicorn Cafe.

If you grew up loving My Little Pony and still carry that sparkle of childlike wonder (like me), you will absolutely adore this cafe. It’s small in size but overflowing with personality and colour - it’s unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.

First Impressions

From the moment you step through the door, your senses are overwhelmed in the best way - walls and ceilings plastered with unicorns and pastel ponies, rainbow splashes in every direction, and an inviting glow of pinks, purples, and blues.

There are plenty of cute pastel-coloured tables, chairs and plush sofas to settle into, plus a whole section dedicated to unicorn plush toys and props. You can even rent a unicorn onesie for just 100 THB (about $3 USD) - highly recommended for peak Instagram vibes!

The Magical Menu

The menu is as whimsical as the decor. It features both savoury and sweet options, from rainbow spaghetti carbonara and the infamous rainbow cheese burger (which looks... questionable but hilarious) to colourful waffles, brownies, crepes, and layered cakes.

There’s a front cabinet filled with their signature rainbow cakes and cupcakes, plus a fun selection of galaxy drinks served in star-shaped glasses. Think: unicorn frappes, ombre smoothies, and pastel hot chocolates.

I ordered the ‘Galaxy Star’ frozen vanilla frappe and the ‘Unicorn Waffle Choco Banana’ - both served on adorable plates with star-shaped utensils. They were super sweet (as expected) and delicious, and both dishes together only cost 340 THB (about $10 USD). The portion sizes were huge - I could barely eat half!

A Cafe for the Inner Child

It felt like it was my birthday - sitting there eating chocolate waffles and ice cream for lunch, surrounded by giggling adults in unicorn headbands and pastel wigs. Everyone was there to relive a little slice of magic.

It’s safe to say that The Unicorn Café has become one of my favourite places in Bangkok. If you’re heading through the city and love all things magical and sparkly - this is a must-visit. Next time I go, I’m definitely hiring a unicorn onesie and trying the rainbow cake!

Things to Know

Warning: A serious sugar high followed by an epic afternoon crash is likely - but 100% worth it.

Second warning: If you're bringing along a guy, make sure he’s one of the cool pony-loving types - otherwise, it may not be his thing!
