Chasing Adventure: What 2025 Has in Store

Just popping in to wave hello and let you know - yep, I’m still here!

Life has been non-stop lately, juggling two little ones, running a business, and powering through the busy summer wedding season (we’re just starting to come out the other side… though I still have a mountain of videos to edit!). I’m definitely looking forward to the cooler autumn days and a bit of a breather.

So what do we have in store for 2025?

So far this year, I’ve squeezed in a couple of quick solo trips to Auckland and Wellington, and we’ve got some really exciting adventures coming up - two trips to the South Island and a return to one of our favourite places ever: Fiji. It’s the ultimate family-friendly destination, especially with young kids, and I can’t wait to be back in that tropical sunshine.

In the meantime, we’re still soaking up the simple joys of life in the Wairarapa - embracing the easy-going small-town lifestyle, spending our weekends at playgrounds, picking apples, baking treats, and just enjoying quality time with the kids.

I know I keep promising new travel blog posts - and I promise, they’re coming! Once I’ve wrapped up editing all my wedding videos for the season, I’ll finally be putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard!) to share our adventures from Bali, Queenstown, and Samoa. I’ll also be writing about our upcoming trip to Fiji - our first time there as a family of four! The last time we visited was three years ago when my daughter was just 9 months old. This time we’ll have a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old in tow… so it’ll be a whole new kind of experience.

Blog Update:

I’ll be the first to admit - my blog has been a little neglected over the past few years (turns out juggling work and two little ones doesn’t leave much spare time!). But this year, I’m bringing it back to life. I’m planning a full blog refresh, with loads of new content on the way - especially with a stronger focus on family travel.

Next year marks an exciting milestone - ten years since I first started this blog! I honestly can’t believe it. To celebrate, I’m already planning an amazing giveaway just for my fellow Kiwi readers, so keep your eyes peeled in 2026… it’s going to be a good one!
